New venues you’re yet to discover!

St Pierre

The Saint-Pierre sur l’Hâte Church

One of a kind, welcoming, and steeped in history—you’re bound to fall for this charming church built of wood and stone!

Dating back to the 12th century, it stands as a testament to the valley’s remarkable religious tolerance, having hosted both Catholic masses and Protestant services in the 17th century.

Inside, you’ll find La Ruche des Frangines’ exhibition on the Saga of the Seven Sisters.

86 rue Wilson

At the corner of the main street and Rue Narbey, this central Sainte-Marie building is now part of the Carrefour venue lineup.

A modern space on the ground floor of a historic house, it’s the perfect stop during a stroll through the town center!

This year, it will be venue #19, showcasing the vibrant works of Australian artist Tara Glastonbury.

Carrefour is where all quilters meet!

“Do you prefer traditional, antique quilts, mixed media, modern patchwork, embroidery, or textile art?”

At Carrefour, there’s no need to choose—it’s all about a shared passion for fabric, precision, beauty, and dedication, whether you’re a quilter from France, Europe, or the other side of the world.

We have some exciting news about the artistic program! Here’s a sneak peek at some of the 40 exhibitions coming this September:

🌸 Fiona LINDSAY – The “flower lady” of this 30th show. Inspired by antique designs, she adores Persian embroidery and works entirely by hand. Her mastery of hand appliqué will be on display at the Salle des Fêtes in Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines.

🧵 Janet O’DELL – An antique quilt collector from Australia, Janet travels the world searching for timeless pieces showcasing technical brilliance, rare fabrics, unexpected embroidery, or simply captivating designs. She’s bringing 60 meters of quilts, crib quilts, and other treasures from England and North America dating back to 1801!

📚 La Ruche des Frangines – A collective exhibition led by blogger Katell Renon, where every piece is inspired by Lucinda Riley’s literary saga The Seven Sisters. The story is gripping, and so are the quilts!

🦋 Hilde van Schaardenburg – For Hilde, art isn’t just a passion—it’s a way of life. Inspired by the endless beauty of nature, she brings birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and even fish to life through fabric painting and intricate threadwork.

✏️ Mattea JURIN – Winner of the 2022 Quiltmania Prize, Mattea turns quilting into a playground. Her unmistakable style is built on doodle quilting—free-motion, spontaneous stitching that transforms each quilt into a unique work of art. Between free-motion quilting and walking foot techniques, she draws with thread, creating unexpected, vibrant pathways.

🔺 Tara GLASTONBURY – A leading figure in modern quilting in Australia, Tara is known for her bold colors, striking geometry, and commitment to recycled textiles. For her, quilting is an act of connection, mindfulness, and storytelling.

🎆 Rachaeldaisy DODD – When you think of Australian quilting, you think of Rachaeldaisy! Her explosive quilts and limitless creativity with textiles and colors will be on full display at Villa Burrus.

🇰🇷 Hae-Ok CHANG – Experience and skill define this South Korean artist. Her quilts showcase a mastery of traditional and modern techniques, creating a unique, deeply touching fusion. Though 89 years old, she will be represented by her peers at Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines, thanks to the Korea Contemporary Quilt Group.

🌿 Marie-Francine BROCHARD – The first French artist announced, but a well-known name in France Patchwork. Her work is full of sensitivity, inspired by nature, coastal landscapes, and textures.

And that’s just a glimpse!
